How do you start a new blog? There's so many things I could write about - so many things I've experienced and still want to experience! I guess I'll write about what's going on right now. Its snowing. Again. I'm sitting here watching the snow and avoiding my work because if I work any more I'll go crazy. I need a break! It's so sad when something that you love turns into a chore, isn't it?
I run a sort of weird business that started out as fun but has since turned into a big money making scheme...a real job. I am a bridal shoe designer! I always feel strange explaining what I do to people. Most of the time I feel like I'd get the same reaction if I had said "I'm a dog house architect!" It's so bizarre a concept. Who actually makes money doing that? And the funny thing is that even though I've become very successful I still get a little bit embarrassed about the whole thing as though I'm telling people that after all the years of schooling I've gone through I'm a garbage man or something. I know I shouldn't feel that way but I do. But I do take comfort in the fact that I made 6 figures in sales last year and that everything I sold was created from this very couch where I'm sitting right now, watching the snow, and typing this post, avoiding my work.
